On the 16th May, the Grand Hotel Majestic in Verbania-Pallanza hosted the convention of Veneto Banca, an important Italian bank, with the crisis and the best way out to it as main topic.

Several important personalities intervened, for example Walter Zaocchi, professor of Strategy and Governance of the Family-run Companies at the University of Pisa, and Edward Cutler, Founder and Director of the Edward Cutler Gallery. Just after the convention, a collection of paintings of the English artist Francis Hamel was presented, and later on, an elegant cocktail party on the magnificent terrace overlooking the lake was offered to the guests.
